Mike Bardsley started his locksmithing career as a locksmith trainee here in Grass Valley in 1979.   In 1985 he took a 4 year leave from the Gold Country at which time he worked for a major locksmith wholesaler in Southern California.   This gave him an in-depth knowledge of lock manufacturers and their products.  While there he participated in many industry related classes, seminars and trade shows.

He helped form the Los Angeles / Orange Counties Chapter of the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) and served as it's first chairman.

In 1989 he returned to Grass Valley where he continued as manager for his previous employer.   Now, using his 30+ years of experience, Mike has started his own company, Bardsley Safe and Lock.

As of this writing, he is still the only Certified Master Locksmith (CML) in Nevada County as recognized by the ALOA and he is still the only Registered Safe Technician (RST) in Nevada County as recognized by the National Safeman's Organization (NSO).
